Summary of Computations
- Compute a difference score for each subject.
- Test whether the mean difference score is significantly different from zero (click
here for a summary of the computational steps for this
test)
Assumptions
- Each subject is sampled independently from each other
subject.
- The difference scores are normally distributed.
(If both raw scores are normally distributed then the difference score will
be normally distributed.) The two raw scores from each subject do not have
to be independent of each other.
