Normal Distribution Calculator/Table
The first
calculator allows to enter the mean, standard deviation, and cutoff points; the
area under the normal distribution is computed. The second calculator does just
the reverse. These calculators can be used instead of a table of the normal distribution.

Choose parameters and the area will be computed.
Choose parameters and the cut-off points will be calculated.
For example, to
get the Z for a 95% confidence interval, make the shaded area 0.95. Then choose
"between" and you will see that .95 of the area is between -1.96 and
1.96.
The
normal distribution is one of the most important distributions. It is the basis of many statistical tests and analyses. It is also used by some in risk analysis although it has been claimed by Nicholas Taleb that such use is a "Great Intellectual Fraud."
