| This page contains calculators for the normal distribution. The first
calculator allows to enter the mean, standard deviation, and cutoff points; the
area under the normal distribution is computed. The second calculator does just
the reverse. These calculators can be used instead of a table of the normal distribution. Choose parameters and the area will be computed. Choose parameters and the cut-off points will be calculated. For example, to get the Z for a 95% confidence interval, make the shaded area 0.95. Then choose "between" and you will see that .95 of the area is between -1.96 and 1.96. |
